Firstly, from our team to yours……a very heartfelt Happy New Year to you. We wish you your most successful year yet.
As everyone starts their planning for the year, we think January is a great time to give you an update on what’s happening with us so that you can see how you may want to involve us with your performance plans for this year.
Next Evolution Performance is constantly… well….evolving
We are so happy that we called our business Next Evolution Performance. Why? We love our scientific approach and thanks to constantly evolving research in the intersection of psychology and neuroscience, we are also able to constantly evolve our approach. This allows us to help you to tap into the best ways for you to reach your full potential. It’s not a one-size-fits-all approach and that’s why our clients enjoy such great results.
And to take things up a notch, last year I started my Masters in the Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health through King’s College, London. Yes, it is every bit as hectic as it sounds and one of the few courses globally which deals with the intersection of psychology and neuroscience. It fits in nicely with one of our key themes for the year……
Train your body … and your brain
We all know that we can train our bodies physically to avoid physical illness, and the good news, thanks to more research in the intersection of psychology and neuroscience, is that we now know that we can train our brains for mental fitness in order to prevent and reduce mental illness.
Given that anxiety and depression are on the rise, especially for high performers, an understanding of how to build mental fitness is a fundamental step towards building a success mindset for ongoing performance.
Cultural due diligence
It’s a sad fact that many organisations who think they already have a “high performance” culture, actually have a “high burnout” culture. Why not talk to us about our cultural due diligence work to help diagnose the culture you currently have as well as what is required to get to a sustainable high performance culture?
Be the best version of you, always
High performance is all about being the best version of you, always. This will mean different things for different people, different teams and different companies. Sometimes the trick is finding out what it means for you in the first place. Many people also don’t know how much they are capable of achieving. Why not talk to us to help you think about “What’s Possible?”.
Who are we working with?
We work with people who want to be at their best, always. Our approach is applicable across so many professions and therefore we are working with people in various professions across the globe – from financial services, law, accounting, media, construction materials and everything in between.
In particular, our New Zealand team, headed up by our fabulous Alex Davids, have been heavily focused on the law profession, bringing an even higher level of sustained performance to the already high performing partners, senior associates and team members at a number of the top tier law firms.
The amazing Kate McKenna is doing great work with IT/Digital specialists to manage their energy in highly demanding roles, run better sales teams, and build resilience and mental fitness in the fast-paced world of IT. She says “you wouldn’t let your server overheat so why would you let your brain overheat?!”
And thanks to the Financial Services Royal Commission, I’m continuing to work in financial services which definitely includes the insurance industry, as well as in-house legal teams accounting and law firms. In addition, I’m working with people in HR and large construction materials companies.
Open workshops in Sydney
Up until last year all of our workshops had been closed, so that company who hired us controls who is able to attend.
To provide an alternative, last year we started running open, one-day workshops for small groups of just 10 – 20 people. It’s a great opportunity for you to experience what we do. You might come along to take control of your own development. You might be checking us out with a view to bringing us into your company, or your company may have had us in to do a workshop for you and you have since put on a couple of new staff. It’s a great way for them to catch up on the concepts that are already working well for you. Or if you are a small business with grand plans, our open workshops are a cost-effective way for you to experience Next Evolution Performance.
Our next one in Sydney is 3 April. Further details will be released shortly.
Leadership retreats in New Zealand
Our New Zealand team is also launching monthly leadership retreats from February this year – high impact, 3-day leadership sessions to launch your skills to the next level.
Stay tuned for more information about these too.
