Last week we explore energy credits and how to treat them like nuggets of gold to invest them wisely.
This week we are going to look at one of the ways we find many people give away their nuggets of gold unnecessarily………..by being inauthentic.
We often see this in the workplace, people try to be something they are not to please others and then end up spending half of their life outside of work complaining about other people at work. Talk about giving away nuggets of gold – not a good investment at all.
It’s important to be yourself in all aspects of yourself. Imagine marrying the wrong person and trying to be something you are not for the next 60 years – sounds horrendous right – well we spend a lot of time at work and trying to be something we aren’t is pretty exhausting there too.
So if you don’t feel like you can be yourself at work, ask yourself what would happen if you were yourself and better still, just be you. If it doesn’t work, there are plenty of other jobs out there. You are not stuck and perhaps moving somewhere else might end up being the best thing that could happen to your energy credits.
